Minor Puppy Dog  (1 entry)

1st Miles' LITTLE HIDDEN JYME SPICEZ AT JAYBIEM. Just 6 months old, super happy boy enjoying his day out which is what we should see in a youngster. Very raw as expected. Good bone, clean head with ideal markings, dark and almond shaped eyes with good expression. Level topline throughout, correct ratios. Movement okay but all over the place as he was enjoying himself a little too much.

Puppy Dog  (2)

1st Rumble’s HARVESTBANK IN DREAMS OF GLENBRIENZ. 9 months old, big strapping young lad, super head and expression, excellent bone stood on tight catlike feet. For me, a tad overweight which spoilt his movement. Good hind action but front needs to tighten hopefully with age. BEST PUPPY DOG
2nd Miles' LITTLEHIDDEN JYME SPICEZ AT JAYBIEM.

Junior Dog  (3)

1st King & Green’s JOSEPH VOM DURRBACHLER WALD AT ARVELLA (IMP NLD).17 months old, average size and overall an honest and decent dog. Maturing slowly, good head proportions, eye shape slightly rounder. Good amount of bone for size and a level topline at all times . Shows a relaxed, flowing body shape on the stack and moves smoothly around the ring with excellent hind action. To be critical, front action could be cleaner.
2nd Gopal’s COLLANSUES SECRET BREW. 15 months old, my notes say ‘raw raw raw’ so this boy needs plenty of time to fill into his large frame and heavy bone which will happen. Head is developing okay. Rich dark tan with good markings. Movement was fluid in all directions.
3rd Austen’s HALESBERN THE WARRIORS 15 months old, good head, ideal markings throughout. Just a bit all over the place today.

Special Yearling Dog  (7 entries, 2 absent)

1st King & Green’s JOSEPH VOM DURRBACHLER WALD AT ARVELLA (IMP NLD).
2nd Wells’ BERNFOLD BARD BENEDICK. 22 months old, average size. Good head and expression, ample bone for size. Excellent side profile with clean hind action. A little over exuberant today which made assessing front movement difficult but overall he moved well in the ring. Tail carried a tad high.
3rd Austen’s HALESBERN THE WARRIORS.
Res Stephenson's KERNOW SOMETHING PERFECT.
VHC Arciszewska & Sherratt's KYLEBURN NIGHT VOYAGER.

Maiden Dog  (3, 1 absent)

1st Wells’ BERNFOLD BARD BENEDICK.
2nd Shaw's GLANZBERG MOONLIGHT MAGIC. 20 months old, Pleasing head and expression with correct ear set, dark almond shaped eyes. Good bone and feet. Sound profile movement but a tad weak behind today. Excellent markings

Novice Dog  (4, 1)

1st Wells’ BERNFOLD BARD BENEDICK.
2nd Gopal’s COLLANSUES SECTRE BREW.
3rd Arciszewska & Sherratt’s KYLEBURN NIGHT VOYAGER. Difficult to assess today as this boy needs some ringcraft training which will help him understand what he needs to do and also give his handler confidence. He presented good bone and once settled a fluid easy profile mover.

Graduate Dog  (3, 1)

1st King & Green’s JOSEPH VOM DURRBACHLER WALD AT ARVELLA (IMP NLD).
2nd Shaw's GLANZBERG MASSIF. Nearly 2 years old, Good head & expression, lovely dark almond shaped eyes, correct ear set. Good amount of bone with tight feet. Ample chest for age, a strong level topline held throughout but lost out today on overall movement.

Post Graduate Dog  (3, 1)

1st Barsby & Bonham's HALESBERN NAUGHTY BUT NICE. Nearly 3 years old, extremely handsome boy, masculine head with clean markings. Good neck and shoulder placement, stood on well-boned legs. Excellent depth of chest. Movement could be tidier but overall he had better construction than the others in the class.
2nd Page’s HALESBERN EYE CANDY. Nearly 3 years old, litter brother to 1st. Masculine head, good bone and tight feet. Sound hind movement. This is boy is heavy coated which can make him appear over weight but following the hands on assessment he is just the right weight.

Limit Dog  (8, 1)

An interesting class, different types and shapes throughout. I couldn’t compromise correct ratio to movement. The longer cast dogs had super fluid movement but failed on basic 9:10 ratio.
1st Vaychkus & Vaickus FLINTAS KALNU SUO AT BERNAROSO ShCM (IMP LT) 4 ½ years old, exactly what I was looking! The best construction and movement of the class. Strong, masculine head with good expression, dark almond shaped eyes with correct ear set. Excellent shape on the stack, 9:10 body ratios, strong level topline held on the stand and when in motion, good bone stood on tight feet. Front and hind angulation correct. Carried his tail correctly. To be super critical- he left his coat at home, he had nothing to hide, other than that I loved him! BEST DOG & RESERVE BEST IN SHOW
2nd Rothery’s GLAMROCK GRAFFITI ARTIST 3 ½ years old. Super, strong masculine head. Excellent bone, tight feet. Gives the typical bernese shape on the stand. Good topline throughout, shoulder placement is good, could have better turn of stifle. Another overall lovely specimen, just lost out to tidier hind movement today. RESERVE BEST DOG
3rd Bridges’ DEERPARK TRAVELLING MAN V KERNOW (IMP USA) 2 ½ years old, good size and shape, sound profile movement. Head could be more masculine for my preference.
Res Hyland's CHARMSWAY ADVENTURER.
VHC Westlake's APRIORI UILL SMITH FOR JESTERBROCK (IMP RUS).

Open Dog  (5, 2)

1st Bird & Bridges' CH KERNOW SOMETHING ShCM 3 ½ years old, mature average size dog. Super strong bone, masculine head with dark almond shaped eyes, good, honest expression but a tad long in muzzle for me. Correct ear set. A tad short in neck which affects his shoulder placement. Strong front legs with tight cat like feet. Level topline, could have more turn of stifle. Tail carried correctly, clean movement in all directions.
2nd Rumble’s BERNFOLD DONNER BY GLENBRIENZ 4 ½ years old. Excellent size & substance. Masculine head with melting expression. Honest dark almond shaped eyes. Good body ratio’s, excellent shape, good hind angulation which allowed him to drive behind. Could have more bone for size, lost out due to untidy front action.
3rd Arciszewska & Sherratt’s KYLEBURN NIGHT VOYAGER.

Breeders Dog (1)

1st Wells' BERNFOLD BARD BENEDICK.

Unbeaten Dogs Challenge

Veteran Dog  (1, 1)

Veteran Bitch  (2)

2 delightful veterans not showing their age.
1st Rothery’s GLAMROCK FUTURE LEGEND Rising 10 years old, smaller bitch but so correctly made. Correct bone for size, Feminine head with dark almond shaped eyes giving the typical melting expression. Excellent shoulder placement leading into correct length of upper arm, level topline, correct hind angulation. Such a super fluid mover in all directions, for 10 years of age she could have done a few more laps of the ring and it wouldn’t have affected her. Left her coat at home but this left nothing to hide- does not look her age. BEST VETERAN IN SHOW
2nd Tom’s EMBERFAY MOONGLOW 8 ½ years old. Top size for a bitch but remains feminine. An animated girl who clearly enjoys her time in the ring, but for me this affected her front movement. Excellent bone for size, portrays a good shape with strong level topline. Super temperament, tail never stopped wagging, at one with her handler. Just preferred overall construction and head type on 1st.

Minor Puppy Bitch  (3, 1)

1st Bradley’s FENSHOLTS QUE VIVA LA VIDA Just 6 months old, a raw baby but very well made. Feminine head, sweet expression, dark almond shaped eyes, needs to learn to use her ears as they are set on correctly. Good lay back of shoulder with good length to upper arm, stands on a strong front, feet could be tighter. Good body ratios and strong enough hind for age. Ample bone for size. Handler needs to talk to her to bring out the best in her. Happy temperament. RESERVE BEST PUPPY BITCH, RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW.
2nd Gorbould’s GLANZBERG ONLY THE BEST 8 months old, head developing nicely, clean lines and dark almond eyes. Excellent bone and substance, stood on tight catlike feet. A stronger girl than 1st but lost out on profile movement as she lacked enthusiasm- change of handler may have caused this. A promising puppy though.

Puppy Bitch  (2, 1)

1st Westlake’s JESTERBROCK LOVESTRUCK 11 months old, lovely typey young girl. Strong yet feminine head with gorgeous expression. Excellent bone and substance for a youngster. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders, good length to upper arm, strong front legs, well bodied with spring of rib developing nicely. Correct ratio at present, excellent mover in all directions. Lovely temperament, very happy which made her carry her tail a bit too proud. Yellow colour for white chest is a shame. BEST PUPPY BITCH, BEST PUPPY IN SHOW.

Junior Bitch  (2)

1st Flanagan’s COLLANSUES PRECIOUS ROCK 18 months old, Good feminine head with sweet expression, clean markings. Ample bone for size. Excellent shoulder placement, strong front with enough chest. Excellent hind drive when moving, pleasing profile movement shows an easy gait. Handler needs to watch placement of lead because this makes her lift her front up too much.
2nd Hellingsworth’s ALISNOBERN ANNA AT CARABAZ 15 months old, Good strong and feminine head, expression spoilt by round eyes. Correct ear placement. A lovely shape portrayed on the stand showing good body ratio’s. Profile movement was steady and fluid, front a tad narrow.

Special Yearling Bitch  (6, 2)

1st Miles’ JAYBIEM MY MY MY 21 months old, first word written ‘GORGEOUS’. Good sized bitch with strong bone and substance. Strong head developing nicely with a super sweet and happy expression. Good length of neck leading to well-placed shoulders, strong front legs, good feet, strong level topline, excellent hind angulation. Super mover today. She did have less coat than the others but this didn’t detract from her quality.
2nd Flanagan’s COLLANSUES SOMETHING ROSIE 20 months old, rangier than 1st. Alert and feminine expression, head of good quality. Looking raw for her age still, on assessment her front appeared slightly narrow but this didn’t affect her super movement today. This girl needs time to mature.
3rd Hills’ BERNFOLD BARD BIANCA 22 months old, Good head on this youngster. Bone and substance matches her size. Clean even markings throughout. Body ratios and overall construction is good. Would benefit from a better handler and some ringcraft to allow her to come into her own.
Res Claridge's LA CALIFFA ASTRUM FELIX.

Maiden Bitch  (2, 1)

1st McGrory’s CHIPPIS HUG A DIAMOND 22 months old, smaller feminine bitch with a lovely happy temperament. Good head and eye shape, correct catlike feet, 9:10 body ratio’s. Could do with more angles fore & aft.

Novice Bitch  (5, 3)

1st Westlake’s JESTERBROCK LOVESTRUCK
2nd Hills BERNFOLD BARD BIANCA

Graduate Bitch  (2)

1st Flanagan’s COLLANSUES SECRET WISPA Nearly 3 years old. Strong girl throughout, excellent bone and substance, a real typey girl. Head could be deemed a tad strong but just my cup of tea. Correct length of neck leading to excellent shoulder placement and upper arm length. Stands on strong front and hind, tight catlike feet. Correct tail set and carried well on the move- she flew round the ring. This girl is fit for purpose and could definitely do a hard day’s work.
2nd Jakobsen’s BERNFOLD CELEB ANNABEL 4 ½ years old. Lighter bitch all round compared to 1st. Feminine head with pleasing expression. Sound profile movement, tends to stand a bit rocking horse like on the stack but this can be rectified with handling.

Post Graduate Bitch  (3)

1st Page’s HALESBERN STAR IN THE SKYE 2 ½ years old. Excellent quality overall. Good head with correct expression, well defined stop. Strong medium neck length leading to good front angles, good bone for size, tight feet, well angulated hind. Correct 9:10 body ratios. A good mover. Lovely bitch.
2nd Flanagan’s COLLANSUES SUGAR N SPICE 4 years old, super showy girl. Head okay, but lost out on expression. Darker marked girl. Excellent bone and feet. Super shoulders, strong front, good topline, body is shapely, good hind angulation a real joy to go over. Another good mover.
3rd Jakobsen’s BERNFOLD CELEB ANNABEL

Limit Bitch  (7, 2)

A good class with some good movement.
1st Miles’ SAVE DALLAS KISS FOR JAYBIEM Nearly 4 years old. Beautiful specimen. A mature shapely bitch who pleased me very much when going over her. Head is strong yet feminine, honest dark correctly shaped eyes with good ear set. Good shoulder placement, strong front, good hind angulation. Have seen this girl throughout her growing phases and she has matured and developed into a lovely bitch. Movement was excellent in all directions. I had thought about her for a top honours award but she just lacked enthusiasm in the challenge.
2nd Flanagan’s COLLANSUES MOUNTAIN ANGEL Nearly 4 years old. Head is okay, not my preference but good enough. This girl paints a good overall shape with good bone to match. Good feet. Movement was fluid and free.
3rd Westlake’s ALPINE JOY PAGE STORY AT JESTERBROCK (IMP RUS) 4 ½ years old. Left her coat at home today. Gorgeous kind expression, a true show girl. Good mover but lacked hind angulation for me.
Res Stelmach & Davis' CHIPPIS SHES A DIAMOND.
VHC Vaychkus & Vaickus' BLUE AIRA BERNENSKIE RANCZO JW ShCM (IMP PL)

Open Bitch  (5, 2)

Excellent class.
1st Sutton’s CH BERNSTEPH DIOR REMEMBER ME JW ShCM 5 years old. Well matured. A true gorgeous headpiece, strong, feminine and clean proportions, dark, honest and kind eyes with the much desired melting expression. Correct high ear set carried well. Not the biggest of girls but a good size. Bone and substance to match. Loved her front and hind angles on assessment, tight catlike feet. Correct tailset and carried correctly. Easy mover that was clean in all directions. Presented in tip top condition with a shiny plush coat to finish. RESERVE BEST BITCH
2nd Miles’ CH MEADOWPARK SWEETEST THING AT JAYBIEM Nearly 4 years old. Another quality girl but was unlucky to meet 1st today. Lost out on head and expression. Super bone, substance and shape. Conformation is so correct throughout. Strong front, strong hind, good feet. Super mover. Another presented in gleaming coat.
3rd Goodyear’s HARVESTBANK FIELDS OF GOLD JW ShCM. 4 ½ years old. Top size bitch who has matured nicely. Gorgeous head and expression, dark eyes and correct ears. Another good mover today just lost out on strength in topline.

Breeders Bitch  (4)

1st Miles’ JAYBIEM BURLI SHASSI 2 years old. And where to start? A truly, outstanding and beautiful bitch who ticked all the boxes for me today. She is strong, full of type, yet remains feminine. This girl is developing into a super specimen, maturity is now coming into play. Head is of good quality, sweet expression, correct ears. Correct medium and strong neck leading to excellent shoulders and length to upper arm. Front is strong, chest is broad. Topline is level at all times, body ratio’s bang on 9:10. Strong and well angulated hind which allows her to power around the ring with the reach and drive that is very much needed in our breed. My absolute favourite of the day! Pleased to award her BEST BITCH AND BEST IN SHOW.
2nd Westlake's JESTERBROCK LOVESTRUCK.
3rd Stelmach & Davis' CHIPPIS SHES A DIAMOND.
Res Flanagan's COLLANSUES ROSEBUD.
